Only ever seen one DeLorean at a time - until this Sunday just gone -

So, they clearly made at least two...... ;)

They were at the classic car show here in Sunny Bundoran - along with a wide selection of other cars.

And three Honda CBX1000's - one standard, one modified and one ruined.

Fortunately, you cannot really see the "ruined" one.

I have only seen one DeLorean at a classic car show in the Borders a few years ago, as for the "street fightered" CBX? the owner probably loves it.

There is a DeLorean that lives in Holyhead, I see it occasionally on the A55 or when I venture up to the harbour. Personally I think they are one of the most iconic cars ever. I would love to own one.

There was a dodgy American TV series on a couple of years ago (can't remember the name of the show but it was a real life thing about a fat family with a few kids who lived in a run down house next to a railway line) In one episode the cameraman did a shot of the garden which had a couple of old cars abandoned with grass and trees growing through them, one of the cars was a DeLorean, I could have cried.....

That car show with the gobby journalist and the very tall mechanic (I cant remember what its called - on Quest or Dave or Travel Channel), anyway I am sure they did one up -bought it in USA and brought over here, then a whole load of work and sold at a modest profit. From what I remember Delorean's are very well built and just about rust proof - quite a safe purchase as exotic cars go.

Yeah, that was Wheeler Dealers with Ed China (The mechanic) and Mike Brewer (the sales guy) Don't think I've ever seem them turn a real profit (they don't take labour costs into account)
They had a DeLorean and sold it at a club meet.
Renault V6 engine, loads of problems and manufacturer recalls, not very fast, the Californian cars were crippled with raised suspension, stupid rubber bumper overriders (to meet pedestrian impact regs) the interiors don't last long in direct sunlight. the auto box is rubbish compared to the manual, gull wing doors with crappy hydraulic struts, those tiny toll booth windows.
all in all a rubbish car.....

But I'd still give a kidney for one :) :)

They made an all electric DeLorean DMC12 a couple of years ago, last I heard they are trying to do a limited production run.
(some American company bought out the entire stock of parts from the bankrupt company, they can actually make you a brand new original DMC12 if you have enough money, or you can just by any part NOS if you already own one)

'Here comes Honey Boo Boo'

that was the name of the program (It's been driving me mad for days trying to remember)

the family were pretty poor but they kept entering the kid (Honey Boo Boo) into beauty pageants (like Americas do)

I have no idea how that turned out for them, but the DeLorean in the garden with grass/weeds/trees growing through it will stick with me forever....
