Son #2 made it to New Zealand a few weeks ago and asked me to sell his Triumph Street Triple 955i that has been cluttering up my garage for the past year. He needs the money to buy a bike in NZ. I pulled the covers off, got it out, put the battery back in and it started on the button and I mean within 1/2 a second of pressing the button it was away - after a year stood. Amazing. Its in great condition - well after a quick wipe down it was despite him throwing it at the scenery on Hartside Pass and minor altercation with a car by the previous owner (was a Cat D then). Its lime green though , has no luggage capacity, and is hopelessly impractical. My son loved it though and the few times I rode it I thought it was very good - smooth and torquey like a triple should be. The brakes are bit sticky that's all but a ride will probably sort that.
It looks so good and feels so right I am very very tempted to keep it. Anne says she might ride it if I do, and it keeps it in our possession if our son ever comes back home. Without the Cat d thing it would be worth £2300-£2500, with it about £2000 which is what he paid for it and what he wants.
Go on, persuade me, it might just get my biking Mojo back.
(old pics, but its not much different now)
