Not sure if there are any pics

I went over with David on DRZ400 and him on his DR350. Gordon, brother in law who'se been a few times, came on his V-Strom. Chilly ride over compensated by a nice breakfast.

Russ, Ian, Ruth and Andy turned up.

Breakfast done and time for a bimble. All suited up and bikes ready to roll but Russ has a front wheel puncture on his Africa Twin

I had a spare tube but my toolkit would not cope. Shortie tyre levers and small JIS screwdriver would not shift the fork shroud bolts. My bigger tool kit including bigger tyre levers are in my Africa twin.

Russ had breakdown cover so I gave him the spare tube and we carried on a small bimble through Hope, Castleton, Winnat's Pass then on to Whaly Bridge, down to Goyt Valley and out to Cat'n'Fiddle, which is closed until firther notive.

The rain had stopped just before we set off at 08.35. The rest od the day was dry and even the sun came out for a brief spell. It was cold on the top over Cat'n'Fiddle and the sun went down quite early and temparature dropped sharply. Took the back roads back down to Macclesfield.

All in all a good day out

Russ was recovered and back on the road to get home

There was a reason I couldn't come, which escapes me now as laid in bed for a while, then read the paper and drank coffee all morning. Better than watching a puncture get fixed anyway.
