Got a non-stick version last year and after making sure it was OK, I'll be keeping and using it and have put my old one up for sale (old as in 4 years old)

Old! OLD! For a trangia that’s still a babe. My one like this is approx 30 years old and apart from a few dents works as well as the day I got it. I also have the bigger sized one that I bought secondhand about 25 years ago. I think it was ex military and already 10+ years when I got it. They never wear out.

They are good on Meths when you have time to wait for a boil but waaay better with the gas adapter. Meths is only really hot enough for simple heating up and boiling. Even simple frying gets a bit iffy on meths whereas proper cooking is a reality with gas. I also have the multi fuel adapter but I don’t get on with it so much (it’s too hot mostly) and prefer the unfussiness and adjustability of gas.

I've tried the meths burner on a couple of trips . . . . . . . and was glad I took a back up gas burner

I find the gas canister last so much longer using one of these cookers compared to other cookers that are not shrouded like the Trangia
