Winter Gloves

This morning was the first chance I've had to test some winter gloves I bought a few weeks back, as until now I've been wearing summer shorty gloves as the weather's been so warm. Early this morning I had to ride 70miles in freezing fog, on country roads as well as dual carriageway. My hands were well protected from the wet and cold with only slight numbness to my right index and second fingers, but I do tend to ride with those fingers on the brake lever - old habits die hard! The gloves are leather/cordura construction with padded protection to the knuckle area, stitching is good quality, they seem well made and are very comfortable. The real surprise is they cost me £12.98 inc P&P on ebay (brand new)!

Looks fairly ok, certainly at that price.

The weather reminded me this morning that it's indeed time to dig out the winter gloves. This is that annoying time of year where in the morning you're freezing in your summer gloves and in the afternoon you're boiling in your winter gloves. ;)

That's a very good price for what you get.

Be interested to hear how they fair in heavy rain. I was considering a pair of goretex jobbies, expensive though
Thanks for posting and please give an update on wet weather riding, would be good

Cheers

I shall be fitting my muffs soon,

Them with the heated grips means I'll be wearing my vented summer gloves all winter :)

All this heated grips and muffs sounds like expense to me . . . I'll wait until my missus has finished the Fairy Liquid, cut the bottle in half and tape the neck bit to the bars. Job's a good un.

I bought a pair of these a couple of years ago and get on with them really well, they're not too bulky so you can still feel the controls through them whilst being warm and dry, I tend to only wear then when the weather gets a little more extreme an otherwise stick with my summer gloves but they're really quite good

Digi..... How much r you getting paid to plug these ? or are they really that good ?

HG Winter gloves
I am now on my 3rd pair. Warm and waterproof. I think I paid about £35 for them. They got sheltex (HG version of gortex) but works brilliant.

I don't think I've ever had a pair of winter gloves I've been happy with... either too bulky, not waterproof, or not warm enough.

I'm sorry, you can't beat muffs and wearing summer gloves.

Do you mean like this? £45 and its for S-c-o-o-t-e-r-s, obviously not for MEN and Trailies

So instead I bought these - £10 on ebay and made of Goretex, for MEN

Similar Nigel

and once you've tried them there's no going back

only real men ride motorcycles while their hands are kept warm inside furry muffs ;)

The point of the muffs is to keep the heated grips inside them with your fingers, :idea-013: :idea-013:
