Anyone out for a ride over the bank holiday weekend?

we'll be out at some point I'm sure but just wondered if anyone fancied meeting up

LWR, from XRV and his own little site ADVScotland, has arranged a small gathering down at Kirkby Stephens Takoda site this coming weekend.

A few from the proper "up north" are wandering south, so we may well see you around.

Saw the Takoda event and wish I could get away for the whole weekend but will have to be happy with a ride out or two

Cool, not fussed where we go.

Anywhere your way we haven’t been?

Bridgnorth would be busy I guess and we might upset the parking Nazi again :)

Might be a bit much for Sam, she struggles with the twins seat over long rides.

We'll play it by ear, count me in but maybe solo.

Is there somewhere else that you can think of that would suit Sam?
Wouldn't want to exclude her if she wants to come

She's not fussed really, she will come along as long as we stop regularly to give the seat a break. Its usually worse on the way back to be honest, I suffer with numb bum on the twin too.

Really need to get something sorted on this.

I'll give Andy a shout too.

Sounds like a plan, anyone else fancy it?

Sorry, sounds like a grand plan but I'll just be back from ten days away from home working and will need to put some time in helping out my parents. No rest for the wicked, eh? :(

Not meaning to crash your thread, but on the @T seat issue, I had a torn seat which I had repaired and a new cover fitted locally. It was really comfy, 150 to 200 miles no probs. I've replaced it with an original seat as I want my RD04 as standard as possible and it is absolute dog toffee to sit on! 40 to 50 miles and I'm squirming!
The upholstered removed a bit of the original foam as it was damaged and used some generic cushion foam then covered it with a white layer of fine foam and re covered. I'm tempted to go back and get my original seat doctored!
Just thought I'd share that!

Got much bigger problems now all, won't be making this weekend and might be at the nationals in 4 wheels.

Fuel tank is leaking from a pin hole on the rh side. It wrecked the paintwork from the inside out, just blistered it away. Really really peed off.

Looking like I need a tank, may try POR15 to see if it will seal. Not a happy bunny....

If you can't get it fixed for the national you're welcome to borrow the 650 (assuming we can sort luggage and insurance I suppose)

Cheers Ian, I've ordered the tank sealant, try that first. From what I've read it takes up to a week to cure.
I won't bother repainting the tank until we get back, that's if it works.
The other option is J&J in Coventry. Might give him a bell tomorrow. Either way I'll strip the bike tonight.

Fingers crossed eh?
