I took my small trailie for a 150 mile loop to see how the trees were doing and to eat some pancakes and maple syrup. Good day and my leg even behaved itself.
Bop bop bop thudda thudda thudda bop bop bop thudda . Nice one Nick and nice to see the little bike out in what looks looks like great weather. I saw there was some snow over in BC a couple of weeks ago, and not in the mountains. Winter is coming

It's astonishing that such a slow bike (and I mean slow) with a gearbox that sometimes refuses to find anything other than third on stopping, with marginal brakes and almost zero acceleration, can be so delightful to ride. It just chugs along like a traction engine - the perfect back road companion. I also discovered yesterday that it handles washboard far better than it should. The floaty, sloppy, 42 year old springs just eat it alive. No juddering, no side slip - magical.
Yep - winter's on it's way, so I have to get in as many rides as possible before I can't get out of my garage door. Best to you both.
Super pics as always Nick. The reds and oranges are stunning. And, as Phil said 50average is amazing and I assume that's on the thumper so doubly so. Oh to be in a place with such wide open spaces and next to no traffic. If only Canada would take me.
The 50 average was on the Eldorado. I'd never manage that on the Nuovo Falcone - it's close to its top speed. No motorways, but long empty roads with nothing to impede travel. As Austin knows, the speed limit on those roads is 80kph (49.7 mph) so I was generally moving a little faster than that. I did see one police cruiser, but I think he was so surprised to see a bike (I didn't see a single bike in 300+ miles) that he didn't register my speed, which was well into danger territory.
