Bit weird really. Obviously still not ready so cover it in muck. But it is coming at last. Anyone know where it will be put together? Who's gonna test it for us for a year or two. My moneys on Jim!

No gear lever either must be do dct

True Adventure................. TA

Hope it has got DCT. The NC 750 DCTs are outselling the gearlevers at the local Honda dealers.
I understand that there will be two bikes one geared one dct hopefully find out at the Tokyo show. Apparently they will not be on sale until September 2015 but we can hope it is earlier

So it is an At then ?

Time will tell no doubt, just hope they don't use the marque and end up with a piece of doo doo :(

Almost ready apparently, the lights are staying as are, the bash plate will be updated as will the silencer to meet emission and noise regs.

The pillion peg mounting points are there and also the centre stand mounts so I think it's a little further in that people think.

I think it will be available middle of next year.

I for one are definitely interested, but of course will be keeping my RD03, the RD07a may hve to go though....

No gear selection on this either, defiantly not an autobox

Well, Fiona and me flew down to Birmingham for a close up of the prototype and that's what it is. A steel frame which should be changed for alloy on the finished article.
That prototype has done quite a few miles, there's signs of paint wear on the frame from muddy boots rubbing and the tyres are showing wear so it is a working example of the new CR1000 parallel twin motor.
Yes, that one is DCT, no clutch or gear pedal but auto and manual on hand controls. There is of course an optional foot shift for those who want one. Personally I'll probably go down the manual road but we'll see.
Yes, I will buy one, those upside down fully adjustable Showas, fully adjustable rear shock, 100+ bhp look the business and I WANT ONE!

Saw the bike at the NEC. If you look where the sidefairings end and the shape of the bottom end of the bike (cradle/pipes shaping) then the bike is ripe for an AT style wrap around alloy bash plate. This would cover and protect all the (required for todays bikes) sensors that are currently visible.
The rear side panels looked to be a temporary fitment and if you look at the shape of that area its ripe for something similat to the old AT.
Looking at the detail, I really like the recipe as shown. The DSG option is the one for me as my riding is 95% on road.

The CRF 250l has me hooked at the moment for a bit of limited (by my ability) off road entertainment.

I did have a bit of fun with those on the stand who have obviouly been briefed that it was a concept and nothing else. Great staff on the Honda stand, really helpfull.
