Yes very happy, I was going to go 1080 camera but the price was very high so decided to go 720 camera but the box can record in 1080 if I ever wish to upgrade the odd camera etc... I have it displaying to a 24" HD Monitor and the quality is superb, much better than SD system I had. It's only been in a week and I've only just finished wiring the last camera so all 8 have been running for 1 day now so can't really comment on longevity but I don't see why it shouldn't last; and for £145 for box and cameras they're easily replaced if something fails.
Yes it's a wired system, I was looking into wireless but decided against for two reasons. 1. You have to run a cable to power the camera anyway so it may as well be wired. 2. I asked an engineer that does the CCTV at work when he was there sorting our CCTV and he said wireless are notoriously unreliable and also mentioned the wire for power.
It looks at the moment I'll get about 3 days continuous recording on 8 cameras with my 1TB drive. To extend the record time I am going to set the inside shed camera to only record if it detects motion, I may do the same with the alley camera and that will give me a longer record time. I will most likely upgrade to a larger drive at some point *when I have more money* lol
