We'll be over in North Wales next week prior to Austin's Pennine Way weekend, so is anyone up for a mid week bimble?

Actually Sunday would be a possibility, as we're coming over on Saturday.

I could be up for a Sunday bimble as long as I'm home before 4pm?

Could do Ponderosa for lunch? Or will that be way too busy this time of year?

You should be home before curfew. :D

Sounds like a plan, I fear it will be extremely busy. Any other suggestions?

Yeah, I assume that the Ponderosa would be very busy too - with Saggy Arsed Power-Rangers all out for a Sunday bimble, dodgy overtakes, getting the line wrong through corners etc etc.

Could always pick a random layby and bring your own sandwiches? :D

Which is why I suggested mid-week originally.

Have to have a think.......

We could make it mid-late morning to avoid the crowds, there is a little motor museum just outside Llangollen that I've never visited then could have a backroad bimble to avoid the masses, maybe a wander over the Pontycyclle (or whatever its called) aqueduct?

The lack of response suggests this meet is no longer happening???

Sorry Phil, was travelling yesterday and doing family related stuff this end.

Will have to scratch today, as you surmised.

So, it will have to be one evening now or not at all.

Where are you staying Tony, Anglesey?

I'll not get away until around 6ish, not sure the Cafe at Whitchurch is open until?

There is a pub called the Leigh Arms near Weaverham that appeared to have a bike night when I was passed - maybe a bit far for you?
Other than that, a chippy in Rhyl?!!

We're in Bangor - so on the mainland and minutes from either the A55 or A5.

Don't really know any "biker" haunts as I've lost touch - been in Ireland 10 years now. Gulp!

Whitchurch (Shropshire) would be about 2 hours away and Weaverham (Northwich) about 1 hour and 40. Don't know either place at all.

Rhyl's only three quarters of an hour. Don't have any recommendations for a chippy.

We'll probably be out all day and could end up nearly anywhere, to be honest. I've always wanted to go and have a look at the Pontcysyllte aqueduct, so could end up there.

There's a few possibilities, at least.
