I'm not really up on bike meets in N wales (other than Ponderosa)

Rhyl, Whitchurch & Llangollen are all about 1hr15 for me.

OK then, how about Rhyl for some chips? I'll have to look on Google Earth for somewhere to meet in Rhyl as I cannot remember the last time I was there.

Just had a search and "Les and Rita's Fish Bar" has good reviews, which is on the A548 Wellington Road, near the Town Hall (not far from the railway station). The full address is - 28 Wellington Road
Rhyl, Clwyd LL18 1BN if you want to do your own search on Google Earth.

Gotta say Rhyl is/was an absolute dump. Colwyn bay has the advantage of a good bike shop

Finding a cafe open at 7-8pm is harder than I thought.... I had thought Corwen initially, but nothing seems to be open, it is still Wales!!

MaccyD on A5/A483 near Chirk and only a skip away from Pontscylite, nice blast down the A5 for you Tony?? Google says 60 miles/90mins from Bangor down A5 Not sure about you Phil? 'bout an hour for me.

We really are scraping the barrel here. We have parts of Cheshire, North Wales & Shropshire and the most creative eatery we can come up with is MaccyD's

Really nice to get out and about and have a good rattle tonight. Sorry about the MaccyD experience, I do hope you recover, inevitably, I was hungry by the time I go home around 10.15, so I polished of my Shepherds Pie from yesterday. Real food

Good to see Tony and Phil again and a pleasure be introduced to "herself", the Woman behing Lutin, literally in this case tonight. I really WILL get over to Galway..... soon
