I've not been around for a few years now. No I haven't been in prison but I have been off the grid as such.

So what's been happening while I've been away? Bike wise who has what and what sort adventures have we all been up to?

Hello stranger :clapping:

You'll have already sussed that most of the "old" guard are still knocking about. Be great to see you again, possibly at Dent? I'm sure your old AJS will get you there

I'd tell you what bike I'm riding, but by the time you read this I'll likely have changed it - some things never change :)

I recognise many of the old guard and it's nice to see a few new names also. The AJS is my old bike. My newer "fast" bike is the old R45 I rebuilt back in the days of old XRV. All the ones with yellow number plates have gone now, the GSA being the last of them and it went last month.

I'm living life at a slower pace and enjoying it very much

It certainly has been a few years ... head down to Dent in Sep for John's 70th bash and have a catchup with the old guard.

Hi Gordon, good to see you back :thumbsupanim:

What happened to the XR400 ?
The XR went a few years ago. I did my back in weighing a (very heavy) puppy of all things and it took months to recover and since then it's been like glass. Between that and the mate I used to go off roading with disappearing of to live in Australia it simply wasn't being used. I did think about doing it up but it would just end up a an expensive ornament that would get in the way and be unusable off road for fear of duffing it up. Mechanically it was still really sound so I sold it to someone younger and fitter than me.

Get yourself down to Dent. It would be great to catch up. Not sure I have seen you since the Edinburgh motorbike show many years ago when you put a puppy on my bike resulting in more visitors than ever.
