I'm not sure if it counts as 'that bike I wish I'd kept', since I've only recently sold it. However - in case people hadn't noticed - the old Vara has gone... after 10+ years of happy ownership! I rode it to Czech Republic, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and all points in between. I commuted. I toured. I even took it off-road... many times! I made some great friends (XRV and here), and went to some great events. A self-indulgent trip down memory lane now:
