This made me shiver.....

I picked this story up from a fellow Varadero rider on the VCI Forum. This is what happened to him and his wife over a year ago. They both made it (just) and, believe it or not, come back to biking. I have a great deal of respect for someone like this.....grim reminder of how vulnerable we all are out there but also a great example of "resilience and strength ".....

Holy mother of Jesus! You're not wrong about the shiver!

Still, the guy was well punished, he won't do anything like that again after getting 6 points and a £1400 fine. :rolleyes2:

Hi Tony, thanks again for the kind words.

Just to correct the newspapers comments,,,
The drivers sentence was.....
18 nights in jail, which he spent between court cases in case he did a runner back to Brazil, he eventually paid his £60,000 bail to get out before the final case hearing.
6 points on his Brazillian licence, pmsl.
£250 fine
£1200 court costs
And I don't think he was deported either, he was only here on holiday.

Keep riding everyone.

Jesus... Think I saw that crash on Liveleak.

Glad you both have made a full recovery. Nothing you could have done there, especially 2 up! Bloody drivers just don't look. Had two pull out on me today going to work. Keep your eyes peeled guys.

Glad you're both back on the bike!! Stay safe.

We are, and back on a bike now.
That must take some doing, i'm amazed that your injuries have not prevented you from riding. All the best and enjoy being back on the bike [emoji2]

Fantastic to know that you have made good recovery, though it must have been a difficult time. Outrageous the price that is put on a motorcyclist's life in these cases. Keep on healing and keep on riding
