Apologies to Russ for not joining the sensible road ride on Saturday.
Instead I joined in with Bob 'n' Tony's alternative route to Barmouth. Seven of us left camp on 4 @, XTZ 1200, KTM Adventure & Bob's gorgeous DR650.
A ride that lasted 8hr 56mins, over 171 mls at an average speed of 22 mph upto 1744 feet above sea level and down to about 10 when crossing the Barmouth Estuary Bridge (priceless).
Passing thro Newtown, Machynlleth for Elevenses, Tywyn, Barmouth for chips, returning via Lake Bala, Lake Vymwy for afternoon coffee, Welshpool, Churchstoke for phone signal.
This is a link to the route we took if anyone is interested

A seriously enjoyable day for me and I'm sure everyone, thanks Tony / Bob for route planning & saving me drowning in the puddle of mud I fell in.
