Just spent the weekend in Ullapool at the Loopallu music festival, great time, weather absolutely brilliant.
Stayed at the Ardlair Guest House. A wee bit out of the village, but a fiver in a taxi to get back up the hill at night , well worth it.
Fantastic views from our bedroom window.
Arrived there to fine a wee dram, tablet, biscuits, coffee etc waiting in the room for us.
Found two good eating places --- The Seafood Shack along from the camp site. Amazing seafood served fresh, possibly the biggest Langoustines I've seen for a while. Only serve what they get in from the boats, amazing place.
And secondly --- Deli Ca Sea , best fish and chips in Ullapool. Know most of you guys go to the Seaforth at the junction to the ferry, well this one is just round the corner. Apparently the Seaforth caters for the coach trips etc, the locals go to Deli ca Sea
Anyways, just my observations, I have no tie ups with any of above, just my ramblings
