Quick run out

Not having time to get to Jellies & back for midday, it seemed a shame to miss an opportunity for a run out on such a glorious day.

Taking a run through the Trough of Bowland, bypassing my usual route northwards through Slaidburn and headed through Dunsop Bridge & the Whitwell estate.

Eventually coming across magnificent views across the Lune valley to Heysham, Morcambe bay & the Lake District to the north & I think as far as Wales to the south at Jubilee tower (near Quernmore).
Lovely.

And to think I'd put my Union Jack pants and triumph branded socks on thinking I was seeing Phil

Just to prove how I'm a proper patriotic British Triumph owner, 'coz I know how that would impress him [emoji12]

Ah well, I suppose it'll have to wait for another day [emoji51]

Looks like you a had a good ride out there Phil, would have been a shame to waste a day like today

Ditto.......


But, we would have been out on Sunday on our own little sunny Sunday jolly: - Lakes, Honister pass, Solway coast, a crackin' B road from Wigton to Penrith, Sunday lunch at tea time, and a blast down the M6 home in Tim for Anne to watch Poldark. No pics coz I forgot the camera (again).

If anyone is looking for somewhere different and interesting to visit I can recommend Whitehaven and/or Maryport. Good routes to/from and both have nice harbours and marinas to walk around. We enjoyed it anyway.

In my defence, I was on a tight schedule and back home for 11.30, being back on time or even early doesn't normally happen once out on the bike [emoji2]
