I was able to go over to the Yonderman this morning to meet up and have breakfast
On the way I felt what I thought was a misfire as the bike chugged. I opened it up thinking it might be some dirt in the carbs but it was still not running as smoothly as normal
A quick inspection at the cafe revealed I had lost a whole 3rd of the teeth in one go 15 gone out of 45
Went to the first stop with everyone, Austin said it was 15 miles
I lost one more tooth = 16 lost out of 45 now
29 teeth left and counting (64%)
Satnav said I had 54 miles to get home from that location
Did some maths and guessed I might just make it
Stopped at the Cat'n'Fiddle for a recount and still had 29 left
Took it easy going home and still had all 29 when I got home
The other side of he Cat'n'Fiddle the weather was clear and from Chelford I was in the sun all the way home
The boss said it had been blue skies all day
Whoever booked the weather........you're sacked!
Nice to see everyone again
Shame I could not hang around longer
I was due to change the chain and sprockets as they have been on for the last 4 years and have done 28000 hard miles and a good chunk of the run time has been off road so I have had my monies worth from them
Decided to do the ABR may boil 600-700 miles and figured that we'd only be doing about 1500 miles in Italy last week.....wrong!! we did over 2500 miles in the end
All intact this morning but the pasting it got in Italy must have finished it off
Not bad for an alloy sprocket (Renthal Hard Anodised)....I will be going back to steel only in future
Till next time peeps
Ciao
