Maintenance watch out

Decided to set the throttle bodies as I had the plastic stripped off and had just set the valves. The bike had to get up to temperature so as I had the safety boats on went round the village bike up to temperature and ran into the garage. Went to put the right foot down in the way into the garage, sh1t lace is trapped on a fastener bracket, so close to going over. :eek:eil-laser:

One to watch out for ......v

Ohh yeh! A couple of weeks ago, round the docks here (slow going, luckily) left foot down (right covering the rear brake, of course ;) ) erm, left foot didn't want to go down...

Lace snagged on the footpeg - throttle away before going over, frantically wiggle foot and release lace... ok, free now ;)

Note to self - don't leave laces dangling toward my bike!

I wear Brit army boots for general riding around, and always used to thread the lace just up through the eyes one way, then tuck the excess into the boot's top - think I'll go back to that method!

If I'm off for a longish ride I'll wear my Tech 8's, but they're a bitch to walk around in when I'm off the bike :)

I like wearing lace ups but always tuck in laces.

Driving a tractor in the past when laces inadvertently snagged on the diff lock pedal, result, can't get to the brake pedal!

Oh Sh*t.... I have had similar near mishaps caused by something loose rolling about on the garage floor or slippy flooring.... you know I think a lot of accidents happen when putting bikes away in the garage?..... I guess the solution is just to be out riding them all the time ... glad you were ok.
