Meeting of the unofficial Bigtrailie Club - Ontario branch

Does riding 150 miles each way just for lunch sound a bit daft - especially since the weather report promised to reach a maximum of 6c today and the salt trucks were already out on the roads?

It does to me too. Nevertheless, Phil rode his new (to him) Super Tenere from the west and I rode my Quota from the east and we met in the middle over a bowl of chilly and a cup of hot chocolate at the 'Tim's' in Haliburton.

Got to get them in while we can!

Nick
(my total mileage for the day - 341miles)

A brief rest along the way

Creative use of gardeners (or in this case, archaeologist's) knee pads (worked too!) :thumbsupanim:

Sounds quite normal to me [emoji3]

With all that blue stuff overhead it looks like summer. It's been grey, grey grey here with biblical rain here for nearly two weeks now. :(

Nice idea Nick. I rather like the idea of us having an Ontario branch.

(Note from my missus - with a few more members you could have an Ontario tree! )

I think Austin and Anne (and Paul, Ian and Ray) have already started the Big Trailie Long Distance Breakfast Club - what was your mileage to Porthmadog, Austin - 130 miles or thereabouts? :D

Edit: I don't think I can claim 200 miles and a ferry crossing - as they weren't all done on the day. ;)

I'd expect something a bit more interesting than coffee and cakes after a ride across to the Yukon

I just ordered a complete, new wiring harness for the Eldorado. Once it's rewired and I've re-bushed the rear shocks, it will be good to go. Assuming I have some sort of income next year, I'm aiming for July..............

Well Nick a nice blue sky and dry roads well worth a 300 mile round trip for Chilli & coffee I'd say, weather over here is horrible at the minute mate.
