Orville's beak

This week MCN carries a group test of 4 big traillies, the Honda Crossrunner, Triumph Tiger Sport, 1000 Versys and Suzuki's new V-Strom. Generally the Triumph seems to do everything slightly better than the others but my point is that when buying a bike the design and aesthetics are an important factor and I can't imagine why Suzuki would spoil an otherwise rather nice bike by putting on that horrid Orville duck beak. This fad for silly plastic duck beaks serve no functional purpose and was one of the things that put me off the later BMW singles and why I bought an F650ST. I should add IMHO!

On the other hand, it's Suzuki that started the whole beak thing with the DR Big.

I don't mind them, though the new Strom isn't exactly a looker...
