Palletised Delivery

Doing a bit of building work at home. Decided I needed a new bit of kit to enable the work to progress. Found something on line that fitted the bill so went on line and ordered it. Due to its size it was palletised delivery (manually handling weight and size). So I ordered it and paid. It arrived today, off the tail lift, along the road and down the drive on a pallet truck. What was is? A wheelbarrow!

Removed the wheelbarrow from the pallet, put the pallet in the barrow and wheeled it to the pile of pallets the other building stuff arrived on.

Best palletised delivery I saw was at one of our customers sites.

They weren't sure what had been delivered until they opened all of the packaging and found two computer memory modules.

It's a bit like buying a bag and being charged 5p for a bag to carry it home in.

(That comment makes sense if you shop in Wales.)

And soon will do in the rest of the UK. ;)

The number of plastic carrier bags used dropped like a stone here in Ireland when the charge was introduced here in 2002. And the world didn't end.

Typical of the UK (well England) to be the last one. Last one for the smoking ban, last one for the plastic bag charge, etc etc
