So you've some cheap salvage going....
Too much even for T-cut! Is that a through-bolt? If so, it looks like a hacksaw job, and then drift the remains out
Doesn't it have a castellated lock nut type thing sunk into the frame on one side Ian?
Belt it with a hammer then [emoji2]
As one end is (involuntarily) bent, can you grip it with a Mole wrench and twist it a bit to loosen it? Presumably it's a bit bowed, but might free off with some wiggling.

Makes taking the p"ss so much less awkwardYou're here to tell the tale, that's always good!
Sorry to hear this Ian but main thing is you're ok. Only just catching up with news as home broadband not working.
How is the VFR now riding now Ian? Its always the panel fit and handlebars that are never quite the same? Never minded trail bikes dropping unless it hurt but dropping a nice roadbike ..thats different...still stops me spending big time on a bike. Was chatting to a guy recently who pulled out of Fowlers on his brand new CB1000R and dropped it at the first T jcn at the end of the road!
