thanks Chris , i find it hard to remember things from yesterday like where did i put that then when working on bike , but those days seem a little clearer did something yesterday i better not forget but that is a different kettle of fish

An author just asked me to name a cool affordable motor bike of the early 80's that would of been ridden by a motor bike enthusiast of 20 years is age. Your suggestions please, with reasons (and pics, if you have any).

Hmmm, I was 20 in 1980 and had a Yamaha SR500 - a cool big single,very affordable purchase price and low running costs on a student budget.

Then a Honda CB750FB shortly after when I got my first job after Uni - cool-ish and quite novel Euro styling and still affordable at £1299 OTR.
