Slightly overslept this morning, got up at 9.45 . By the time I had showered, shaved and had 2 cups of coffee, got the bike out and suited up it was getting on a bit. I decided on a short run today, up the Yarrow valley to St Mary's Loch where the water was like a millpond, no wind at all.
Not having had any breakfast I nipped in to the café for a bacon roll and coffee then after a blether with a couple of bikers there I set off to Moffat. Roads were a bit wet here and there but not too bad and hardly any traffic, other than the usual sheep in the middle of the road.
Drove through Moffat, only saw about 6 bikes parked up so kept going up to the Devils Beef tub where I stopped for a fag and a couple of pics.
From there I went down through Broughton, Peebles and Innerleithen then stopped at the wee café in Walkerburn for a scone and yet another coffee. The last bit of the trip was only 15 miles or so to my house where copious amounts of water was chucked at the bike to take most of the muck off. Only about 95 miles today, but as last week a nice run on very quiet roads.
Andy.
