They look like fun. Thought about it actually, but the vague plan I had involved arriving at HVH the next monday at 8 am and heading home up the A4 towards Amsterdam.

But on monday-tuesday they've got a Nuclear Summit in The Hague, with various world leaders like Obama attending. All the security hooplah, reserved-for-VIP motorways between The Hague and Schiphol (aka that same A4), rumoured to be four times the police presence as during the coronation of our new king last year :eekicon: and people being advised to not go out unless you really can't avoid it, work from home and all that stuff, I'm kinda expecting the whole west of the country to come to a grinding halt... So figured that was that plan shot to hell.

So Nick, I don't know which channel crossing you were aiming at, but I'd avoid HVH if I were you. :)

I might be there , it all depends when my dad funeral is, died on his birthday 1st march.
Be nice to get out more now I have not got to worry about him anymore.
Not completely free yet though I still got probate to work through.

Thanks guys , means a lot .
He had been suffering from dementia/altziemers (can't spell it) for the last 18 months or so, this time last year he had a urine infection which made it much worse ,the last three weeks he has been in hospital with an "infection".
Anyways , he had been unconscious all that three weeks and all the antibiotics they tried made no difference at all , after talking with the consultant I made the only decision I saw as right and agreed with the consultant to let him "go" as the outcome would have been the same in the end and I won't let anything suffer that be it man or animal.
I'm not too cut up about it, he's free from pain and won't suffer from that evil dementia anymore.
My wife on the other hand is really cut up as she didn't have much of a proper family life when she was younger and considered my parents as her own.
Anyway thanks again, enjoy what You want to do and live your life how you want to.

Paul
