He had been suffering from dementia/altziemers (can't spell it) for the last 18 months or so, this time last year he had a urine infection which made it much worse ,the last three weeks he has been in hospital with an "infection".
Anyways , he had been unconscious all that three weeks and all the antibiotics they tried made no difference at all , after talking with the consultant I made the only decision I saw as right and agreed with the consultant to let him "go" as the outcome would have been the same in the end and I won't let anything suffer that be it man or animal.
I'm not too cut up about it, he's free from pain and won't suffer from that evil dementia anymore.
My wife on the other hand is really cut up as she didn't have much of a proper family life when she was younger and considered my parents as her own.
Anyway thanks again, enjoy what You want to do and live your life how you want to.

and people being advised to not go out unless you really can't avoid it, work from home and all that stuff, I'm kinda expecting the whole west of the country to come to a grinding halt... So figured that was that plan shot to hell.
