Adventure/adventure bikes

Following on from another post ( what's the best adventure bike? ) I have a question, what's an adventure on a bike?

Is it a trip around the world, Galloway Forest, a trip to Wales in February or a ride around some good roads/trails on a sunny day?

I would say that the best adventure bike is the one that takes you away from your mundane daily life and lets you do something different than what you usually do.

No no read the question. It's not about the bike it's about the "adventure"

Any ride that takes you out of your comfort zone.

Preferably somewhere new and over several days.

I guess the ride doesn't even need to be 'the adventure' but the means which carries you to new places and experiences.

My Dominator is going to take me to Hannover in the spring and maybe Belgtade in the summer, the adventure unfolds on the road on my bike so my dominator is the best adventure bike in my opinion.....(for me)

Any ride that is not a commute and anything that is done relating to that ride. Planning this years jaunt over to Rotterdam and across the north of Germany, maybee turn left at Denmark and possibly circle round by ferry back to Germany or os there a ferry to Poland? Thats part of one adventure on a bike for me.
The other end is taking my little bike on the back of the campervan and using it for exploring the locality wherever we stop and pitch up.
They are both adventures as was following Russ around north Derbyshire Staffordshire on the Sunday run. Even though it was very local to where I grew up, I had never been there before and it was wonderful Africa Twin riding country.

A lot of runs on the bike are adventures: this morning's jaunt around the vale of Glamorgan involved meeting hordes of runners on a (i think) 10k road run. Some very strange headgear, and one bloke dressed as a canoe, complete with paddle! And once that lot had cleared, I met a number of M/C outriders escorting a cycle race.
It's amazing what a bit of spring sunshine brings out
