I found a link on UKGSer to this event. It looks interesting, even if just to go for the camping.

Never done anything remotely like this. I like the idea of the three seperate classes, particularly the "Adventure Class" -

"The Adventure bike course will be a “soft road” route that will be GPS or electronic roadbook navigation.
The route can be ridden on standard tyres and will be gravel tracks and scenic back roads."

Sounds a lot like the type of thing that most on here would be comfortable with.

My thoughts exactly. I can't find a date or location though. Wales I reckon as the organisers seem to be based in Cheltenham.

Looks interesting.
How would anyone taking part stand insurance wise as insurers tend not to cover competitive events or time trials?

If the competitive bit is on private land then you probably* don't need normal cover. I would hope the event's insurance would cover you for liability while riding on private land.

* I say probably because i think you do beed insurance on private land to which the public routinely has access, eg tesco car park. It then becomes a question of if the land the event is on allows public access, even if just for the event.

Where's whealie, coz I am probably wrong.
