I kinda like Austria. Roads and views similar to Switzerland without the costly vignette. Better food too. As usual, I researched places to visit on the way, so I had somewhere to take a break every day, some days two places to take a break.
First day, the Royal Military Museum in Brussels.
And a village with a most excellent name.
Second, castle Burg Berwartstein in Germany. It must have taken a lot of balls to fight in Medieval times.
Third, Black Forest, Burg Hohenzollern, and a curious motor-and-toys museum in Tübingen.
Fourth day, several pretty towns and into the German Alps.
Fifth, Schloss Linderhof and finally Kitzbuhel in Austria for a week of walking.
