might be an excuse for a mini weekender
I'd better pop out and buy a new hat.

Promised to update you all on arrangements. The date is probably not good for many as it is a Tuesday - 30th August right after Bank Holiday weekend. We are having a Registry Office ceremony followed by a BBQ at http://www.oldstablesswithland.co.uk/#welcome, Griffin Inn Swithland, Leicestershire. This part is for family only. During the evening there will be music, drinking, wood fired pizzas and no doubt, much silliness. All are welcome to join us for this part (but please let me know if you plan on joining us, so that I have an idea of expected numbers). Dress is as you are, but you may indeed bring a new hat, Chris ;)

Oh, what mixed news! So sorry to hear about your Dad. I know he meant the world to you.

Congratulations too, though, about the wedding. I'm sure you'll be very happy together.

I'm always at a loss for words when this happens, I'm both sad and elated at the same time, I'm very sorry to hear of your fathers passing, it must have been very hard on you caring for him, lost both my parents in the last 5 years.
I hope all the paperwork involved with a death is easy and straight forward and with no hickups.
On a happy note I'm glad you have finally found someone who cares for you and you care for.
I had noticed you had not been around and wondered if you had given up riding already ( box ticked)
All the best for the future Lulu and Chris X

Sounds good Lulu (the wedding, I mean). I will see what can be organised for the bank holiday weekend that keeps me in the area.

not been on here often lately. Sorry I missed this post, as others have said condolences for your loss but every dark night is chased away by a bright dawn.....congratulations on your forthcoming wedding......now for a free drink I could be so tempted to stretch that bank Holiday weekend ..........:)

Sorry it's taken me a while, what with all the catching up to do since I got home and all the pressures of married life... ;)

Have also failed to work out how to post photos, so am just copying a link to our shared album. Beware there are MILLIONS because we invited everyone to share their pictures rather than paying for an official photographer (yes, tight, I know  ).

But if you'd like to get a taster of what the wedding was like (and check out the car, kindly lent by my son's employers) then this is the link https://goo.gl/photos/RKo9BHDNkVVPDUFW8
