Yep, 550 from Colchester and nearly 10 hours according to google maps.
Just had a quick look, I think it was Cumberlands Campsite Loch Ness that I stayed in before. Nice site and waling distance to a few pubs and a good fish and chip shop.
From the website it has been developed quite a lot since my visit about 3 years ago which may make it more suitable.
I had lots of rain when I was on the way there and during my stay but it was a really good trip - looking back
