In Venice for the weekend mate. Also the twin still isn't right, looks like I've got a carb strip to do.

Good to meet up with you Stan like the bike. When you said about your bike handling so well, I wonder if it's like mine being jacked up makes it easier to ride, don't know just a thought.

Hiya Cliff, ;)

Its not been lifted , it just has brand new shock and springs. I think it has more to do with preparation really . I took my time setting the sag and playing with the tyre pressures to find what suited my style ( or lack of ability  ). and i think it has paid off as it soaks up the bumps and sticks to the road as tho on rails now.....Love it :D

As for the mpg today....well i am shocked . 134 miles 8.77 litres :eekicon: . Not sure if this is right but i will fill up again in the morning and re-check.

Your XT660 looked the business today and i wish i had taken a pic, but it was great to meet you and the other lads, Andy and Dave. :thumbsupanim:

A cracking day out with great roads and great company.

Cheers all :respect:

Hmm, 69.4 mpg - that's pretty good going.

That;s not what i was expecting Lutin. I filled it up to the exact same position ( there is a white plastic filler neck just inside the tank) and thats what it came to when i checked it too :eekicon: .

I was not hanging about either, i kept it smooth and quick throughout the ride and carried a lot of consistent speed thru the corners without being aggressive with the throttle. :)

Hmm, I'd want to check that again as well.

MInd you, you could just have found the one filling station in the country that sells "special" petrol. :D
