Whilst its fairly quiet on here at the moment thought I would post a pic of my favourite ride out road, its between Tabernas and Tijola in the sierra de los Filabres mountains in Almeria, Spain. Its fairly local to me and I use it whenever I can. It's also used by the national cycle road race teams for training, sounds more like torture to me!! regards, Jim

The Spanish one is more like the cat and fiddle run, Macclesfield to Buxton.....BUT ON STEROIDS and without the average speed detectors!! and usually 30 degrees plus temperatures, oh , and watch out for the odd wild boar wandering across, they arn't half SOLID. regards, Jim

Looks absolutely fantastic Jim, Almeria Spain, now on bucket list
You could certainly do a lot worse, at the top of this road you enter pine forests with forest trail roads( loose gravel) that take you to some very remote whitewashed villages, there is an observatory at the top and a narrow winding track that takes you back down a different route to Tabernas, yes, Andalucia is fantastic biking country both on or off road :thumbsupanim: ....Jim ( See my Camping recommendation in Camping section or better still, if your just passing through or spending a couple of days around here, PM me and I can put you up in my old farmhouse and show you these amazing ride outs)
