Fingers on brakes

Ok, so i hear what you are saying.
I didn't know about trail braking. I have used brakes in the corner in a progressive way as the vanishing point comes towards you. Front brake mainly. Apply a bit of pressure to increase grip into corner. I did not learn it from anything online i have been riding since 17, now 67, no internet then.
I saw a bret tracs video about trail braking and thought, i do that.

For off-road I see the benefit of covering the front brake with 2 fingers so that you apply lighter pressure minimising a potential wash out and inadvertantly opening the throttle going over uneven ground.
For road use I was told all of your braking is done before the corner, ride the corner on neutral throttle (suspension has maximum travel to soak up poor surface) and when limit point starts moving away gently apply throttle to assist standing the bike back up.
