There was me up early, sat in the cold near the only wifi, explaining that I didn't want to miss a Saturday's work because it might give them an excuse to sack me and I needed the few hundred quid a month I got from AOL Money for my Saturday work, then I got home and Monday morning got an email ending the job, with no notice.

Bit of a shock checking the credit card. I had what looked like a double hit, Northampton Services, same amount, once on the 4th once on the 7th.

Checked my receipts: Turns out that's correct. Both times £35.66 to the cent. Same services coming and going. On the 4th I was blasting along the M1, on the 7th I was blundering along the backroads just following the satnav on shortest route and taking side roads whenever they tickled my fancy. I made a big figure of 8, Harwich on one end, the campsite on the other, and Northampton Services in the middle with my tracks crossing perpendicular.

What are the odds of that??
