I am pretending not to watch tv but am secretly quite enjoying British Sewing Bee. Why? It's the most girly of fthe predominantly girly schedule on tv these days. Help please.

It's not a girly show at all !

Nope it's a a girly programme alright along with most of the schedules on the main channels. Even top gear has gone a bit girly recently.

Talk about going from a bad day to a good one! Blacksmiths got it coming....

That bit was ok but the farce about the hanging - pure girly fiction. Anne loved it, I kept saying its all bollox.

WTF! Austin, get a grip man and find yourself something manly to do. ;) I don't even know what you are talking about as most of the tv seems to be bollocks so I do not watch it. :eekicon: :D

No, it needs deleting :mockery22:

The lot of you need more shed / garage time - get out and fettle the lot of you, before a pinny or apron or whateveritis they're called is attached to your waist and your pointed and the sink or a duster

Now, where did I put that feathery thingymajig? You know, the one that rips out spiders webs from the ceiling :thumbsupanim:

Sewing? Jesus... :fart-1:
All depends on what you do with it. Knowing your way around a needle and thread can be useful.

Flowers on your goretex kit? Errrr, I'll pass.

Nice set of custom bike bags? Not a bad idea.

Took me forever to do the stitching on my modified tank bag by hand. Hurts too, pushing the needle through all those layers of thick fabric.
Would've been so much easier on a decent machine. But the result works very well even if it's not the prettiest. ;)

Or were you going to ask the missus to put some straps on the sheepskin seat cover?

(Watching it on tv is going a bit far though. Then again, bakeoff is fun. Though it helps that that's usually accompanied by some home baking. :D )

I'm OK with the sewing, it's the watching TV bit I don't get.

Sorry, very old schoolboy joke and ever so slightly out of context :cool2:
