Cheers Chaps.

Austin, I did all except the wee & fart thing. Couldn't wee, cos I couldn't, and I daren't fart whilst still in the hospital :D :vomit-1:

Have the drugs for 2 days, but the sister-in-law says's they're "tic-tacs" compared to some of the sh1te she'd had to take in recent times, so there may always be stronger stuff available should the need arise  :thumbsupanim:

Again, thanks for your kind words and thoughts

Just don't overdose on the pain meds like I did after my shoulder op... they definitely told me to take two, four times a day, so after being constipated and feeling rather unwell for 3 days I went to the quacks who nearly fell off his chair! Apparently, I was only supposed to take one, four times a day... oops! :D

On the plus side, I felt no pain! :D

Thanks again for all the kind comments folks.

The Boss was well prepared for my "convalesence" and got me a DVD box set - Game of Thrones - which I'm working my way through, though I'd rather be in the garage fettling, even in these freezing temperatures. Read all the book written in the series years ago, so now it's visualization time and time to compare if the film makers version of the book lives up to the tales!

Craig, I'm with you on the effect the meds have - more uncomfortable than the resudual pain from the op, and i took the prescirbed dose. Stopped taking the pain killers and stuck with the anti-inflams - and now the eye of the kneedle can be hit with a skwit :eekicon: :thumbsupanim:

I'd post a photo of the holes in my knee, but they're patheticly small :thumbsupanim: and have healed properly, so nothing to see there.

More walking the dogs and maybe soon some bike riding :thumbsupanim:

Steve I had knee "open cast "surgery two years ago. The meds where brilliant five hours after op. I ran up stair down stairs then woke up the following day felt like I was hit by a truck.
Its taken me a year to get back cycling over fifty miles in one hit. Long distance walking i have to do slower as I seem to get major cramps in my leg muscles. Running is still out of the question, i cant run a tap at the moment.
It takes time to build up strength again in your knee so take it easy. I made a mistake in going back to fitting after only seven days off bad mistake. Look after it.

Better late than abusive Ray :D  :mockery17:

Wot you thinking of not riding this year, seeing as you have so many steads not to ride to choose from? :rolleyes2: ;)

Been back too work for two days and I'm having to get up from the desk every 1/2 hour to stretch the leg/knee. On the bright side, I'm now riding the bike everyday, so I get some smile time :D

Hopefully see you on the road more this year Ray than last year
