Here's a video from the operators of the LUAS (the tram system in Dublin) that shows that even after 9 years in service drivers in Dublin still don't understand the concept of stopping at the red light to allow trams to progress.
To busy chatting on their phones, maybe?
I actually witnessed such an incident back in 2006 right outside Heuston Railway Station. A coach driver (for the state owned CIE) decided that he had priority through the red light and took the nose off a Luas Tram. I wonder if he kept his job?
