Just watched Car Crash Britain
and I need a Helmet / Dashboard Camera

I would appreciate comment on the best one.

There will be systems when installed will lower your insurance especially if you are younger, not that will effect many here [emoji12]

I have a roadhawk ride. Waterproof, 60 minutes recording time on battery, can be connected to vehicle 12v system as well. I believe there is now an external battery pack to extend record time.

Mine has a 32gb card and can record for 8 hours then loops round and starts recording over itself. Connected to bike power and this card means I can record entire ride from Edinburgh to Huddersfield and back. Its waterproof and only has an on/off button so fairly easy to use, also can come on when it detects external power. Its 720p and if you pause a playback you can read road signs, numberplates despite doing 60.

Also has a two year warranty. I would post a clip to show picture quality but I have never been able to successfully master that black art.

The original file is sharper with better colour. Note you can read all the logo's on the bikes. The camera was mounted on top of my lid as speeds weren't to high.

b) Pulling up by the crash bars ? a deffo no - no :oops:

Three people spread around the bike, better the crash bars than the plastic bodywork I would've thought. Even Richard was confused by his straight line pirouette.

For a while now I've been meaning to order a dashcam for the car because all these dickheads need catching.

I've just ordered the mini 0803.

Techmoan, yeah he's really into dashcams and actioncams, specifically the cheap Chinese varieties. Good presenting voice too. ;)
 
I might go down this road as well, too many clowns on the road now. That Roadhawk looks the business, might try one. Cheers.
