Kit - trousers

As I am retired I don't commute so I don't need to ride in the rain, on ice, if its Tuesday or whatever, so I don't need leather, Cordura or Goretex trousers. I have been looking for something which could be smart/casual but provide some protection as I have made several close-up tarmac inspections over the years - well, quite a few actually. I found these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111252513292? ... 1439.l2649

which are brilliant. They look and fit like ordinary Cargos but they are made from HD Kevlar fibre which is extremely tough and rip resistant (i.e. no more plucking small bits of gravel out of yer Rse for days after) with pockets for hip and knee CE Armour which comes with the trousers. But beware, if you buy through Amazon you will pay £44 + P&P, if you buy through ebay you pay just £29.99 inc P&P - its the same item from the same company.

They look quite good for the money actually, looks like they offer the same protection as Draggin do.

The only jeans i've seen that offer better protection are Hood which are Kevlar lined all over.
