Took the fat bird out to have a little play, still impressed with the tyres. No squirmy arse moments

Lots of water and sandy ground.

New rubber rings fitted today. Gearing lowered. Just got to check over the headrace bearings and that'll be the bike ready to roll

3 weeks Sunday will see me rolling saaarf, testing some trails and lanes on my way down to much Welsh Wales.

Here's hoping Lowflyer gets his @ re-assembled in time for the event  :eekicon: :rolleyes2:

Gearing lowered ?
What's that about then ?? :p

Bike still in bits, had to order new steel clutch plates, should be here Wednesday, back on road hopefully by weekend assuming there are no more crunching noises coming from the clutch. At 98k miles I guess it has done well

Body is still feked though, frozen shoulder and still have back issues., doing light stuff at the gym.but still nowhere near where I should be. I shall just have to lift the front wheel more ;)
Looks like I'll be stocking up on pain killers :D

Did I invite to ours? IIRC you are having a few days in Yorkshire. I know I am not in Yorks but its not that far away. You are welcome to stay

Hello boyo's just checked the long range weather and it looks good, dry and a bit sunny. Hopefully the only water will be in the rivers we cross and on sheeps fore heads.
See you soon J :thumbsupanim:

I too have been observing the movement of the clouds and the wetness of the seaweed J.

I foresee a cold start to my trip this coming Sunday, through snow and ice over the hills called "Lecht" and "Glenshee" on my way south. After the section of the country known to me as Middle Earth (others call it the central belt), the clouds desist their coldness and warmth levels rise the further into the hinterlands of "Much Southness" I travel.

Foregoing the intervention of Trolls with flashing beacons, I should make the latitudes occupied by the much travelled "Adventureous Austin" late in the afternoon / early evening of the same day.

Here's hoping the roads stay dry for the rest of the trip down to "Much-Welshness" land, and my eventuall return to the higher ground known as "Scotlandshire"

Well that's me out

Clutch issues still on going, bike still sounds like an old bag of bolts despite my best efforts.
Even with me getting fit and raring to go, bike just can't make it.

I am absolutely gutted.
The beemer developed an oil leak at the rear shocker after my off road excursions last weekend, so even that can't make it as a sub

If anyone wants my ticket, send me a pm, any forum member can have it for free. I'll try and re coup my money from the Taffy, but think it's too late, in any case, the money goes to local charities so I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

This is a serious good weekend and after my fitness issues earlier on, was really fired up for it.

Good luck Guys, can't tell you how p1ssed off I am, but hey, better the bike packed up here rather than down south.
I reckon I gunned it too fast and too long at the Paddy Dakar, but hey, what a trip

And then there were two

Gutted that you've not been able to sort the green machine in time John. Hopefully, with Jims help you'll sort out the death rattle.

Concentrate on getting the big beast sorted first, so your ride for your holidays later in the year is ready to go - musn't let the boss down

And remember . . . . . . . there is always next year :thumbsupanim:

So J, it's just you & me boyo
