Vader had a text saying he'd binned it. He's in an ambulance on the way to Colchester hospital with a broken arm we think. Pete is on his way over there now. I am delaying departure to the National in case I need to take the van over to pick up his bike, though he reckons it's totalled. He'll still have panniers and gear though.

Really sorry to hear this. Best wishes to Michel.

Hope the bike is not as mangled as it is feared, after Michel had all that work done on the front end.

Chris leading the Big Trailie International Rescue with Thunderbird 2.

Edit: Hang on, that makes McVader Thunderbird 1. ;)

Good news: no animals were seriously hurt in the making of this thread. Pete is with Michel. I am en route to get him and what's left of his bike.

When I say "en route" I mean parked on the Blackewall Tunnel approach road

Bloody hell, this is awful news. I hope he's not seriously hurt and it is indeed, just a broken arm (easy to say, `just` when it's not YOU with the broken arm).

Can we organise a whip round to try and get him some money to organise him getting home safe and the bike etc?

Took a few pics of the bike :eekicon: :( :(

Michel is in a bit of pain  but i managed to book him on a flight back home at 7pm. The bike stays here for now till he gets sorted with the insurance.

I'm now back home and about to load the bike and head off. I've dug some frozen food out as I won't have time to shop.

Hi all. Airside at sunny Southend. Nice & sore...

As far as I know not rear ended. Rather the opposite. Took out 2 cars, not a bad effort with just a bit of bruising. Bike's going to need some attention though, the frame is toast (confirmed) and the rest is looking somewhat poorly as well.

Oh well. Lot of bother for a bacon sandwich. :)

Big thumbs up for the Big Trailie rescue operation. Five stars, would use again. But not anytime soon, please. Thanks to Pete and Chris for a speedy recovery.

And cheers to everyone at the National. I'm sure you'll get to hear all about it. :)

Crikey, Michel. Hope you get well soon.

Don't like the sound of "As far as I know..." That does not sound good at all. :(
