We talked about this topic on the weekend, how we are a very close knit and friendly family we are.

So where has Stuart 123456789 gone and his Stelvio.

Derric. Pale rider

STAN, used to have a sexy KTM. know he has come to the dark side.

I think some people just give up with some of the drivel you read on forums but they're still around. I've spoken to Stan recently and at our meeting in Shropshire last summer Len (can't remember his name on XRV) turned up :)

Maybe some of 'em are still wandering around the wastelands and tumbleweeds of XRV wondering where everyone's buggered off to all of a sudden? :)

I guess life takes folks' on different paths, people get new interests, family life etc, I'm sure quite a few are lingering in the background, to an extent, I feel, the start of BigTrailie has diluted things somewhat too.

Hey don't knock xrv for dead yet, it seems to be getting a bit of a resurgence, often with quite a bit more activity than here on BT :)

But the owner's still don't give a sh*t. The members count still increments as it includes all the "members" that have been banned - since some of us Mods cannot now delete spammers.

The place is not what it once was - which why we are all here.

I text Stuart just the other day, he's doing ok. He's on here but just as Stuart and not Stuart123456789.

Derek is still riding the Alp and I can see it now actually parked up at work. :D

Both of them were never big posters even on XRV.

Stan was posting on FB just th eother day, seems to be doing ok and I think he's doing his garden out for a bike shed.

Would that be the same Len that is Airwolf? Len and Jean?

Nice one Craig, being a lot younger than me gives you a much better chance of remembering names, thank you Colin :D

Im astonished at how many xrvers are to be found on ABR these days too. It does suffer from too much noise at times and the servers are suite, but it is damned active if big Rallies are your scene... Not for me, but some smaller rideouts like here and xrv are possible ;)

Never got the hang of ABR. This place is nicely sized, just a pity I need a ferry for all the rideouts. Gets expensive. ;)

Its not the the ferry that worries you Michel. It the treat of a big Welsh man trying to pinch your moss covered bike. :thumbsupanim:

Well, I find it hard to keep up with all the forums, ABR, XRV and here, plus other more dedicated to brand ones, I just can't find the time for them all. Facebook is actually where you're more likely to find me. I've a lot of friends there. more likely to find someone to go on a rideout on there nowadays as well.
Ride outs with folk on here seem to be a thing of the past, I've been riding solo for a couple of years now, nobody seems to give a damn any more.
I may well spend more time touring in my jeep this yr. :(

Fiona and myself will be down at the Boil rally in Kirkby Stephen in May and we're also looking forward to going to Germany with Vader and Debs in the summer so still using the bikes plenty, Hopefully this year it'll pick up or I'll be moving on to something else, probably back to offroad.

I haven't been out on the bike this year for various reasons that I won't bore you about, but now rarin' to go.

So Jimbo, if you want to go ahead and suggest somewhere, I'm up for it :thumbsupanim:

I know what you mean Jim, XRV ride outs used to be regularly, suppose it's down to posting when you're free and others joining. I went for a spin to Loch Earn before the rugby, wish I stayed ooout, I never posted. All the best.

sent from my rotary phone ....
