Let the fettling begin. :D

For the brakes - new pads, braided hoses?

braided hoses are standard but the pads have only done 580 miles and been stood for ages so probably still bedding in

to be fair they are not that bad but when you're coming from the GS they are hugely different and always will be

suspension can be sorted quite cheaply on these too but Ruth's is more in need of new shocks than mine as her are truly terrible

Why oh why do manufacturers insist on fitting such crap suspension??? Nevertheless enjoy the bike Ian but please don't become one of those pretentious folks that claims to be oh so patriotic just because they've bought a 'British' bike :)

Nope, non of us will Phil. They have got the build quality right but they also charge as good as the japs. And everything is an optional extra.

I am quite pleased that both our Bonnies are made in Hinckley but for no other reason than a British bike should be built in Britain.

Other than that the only reason we bought them is because we like them and still would have bought them wherever they had be made. :)

Nowt up with that :)

Reason I say is there are two Triumph owners I know (not from here I hasten to add) are both full of the 'I buy British I do, oh yes siree' BS yet most of their other posessions are foreign origin!
