Having a wild stab in the dark - a Triumph Scrambler.
Might be :)

I'm not wild on the paint job but I can always change it if I feel the need

It's 2 years old and only done 576 miles

Just got a bit of a wait for it to arrive

Well, well - 2 Triumphs in the family now. Looks like a cracker of a bike, Ian.

I think that you'll have to live with the bike - and its paintwork - for a while to see if you can live with it.

There's some of the paint I really like and some bits I'm not sure on

It's done by 8-ball just up the road from me so not far to take it if I want some work doing on it. Just need a mortgage to be able to afford their prices :)

Your new second hand bike may have lower miles than my new second hand bike but at least my tank doesn't need painting :) :) :)

Nevertheless, enjoy :)

It doesn't NEED painting, and there's aspects of it I really like

And anyway, at least I'll be able to find it easily in a crowd :)

Yeah, but there'll be someone having a game of chess on the tank :)

I quite like it too ;)

Under a day to burst you must be so excited you could have a wee accident [emoji12]

Excellent choice, I loved mine but kept trying to take it trail-riding. I would have ended up bashing it and it was far to nice to do that.

I like the paint job, definitely makes it stand out from the crowd :thumbsupanim:

Actually the more I look at it the more I like it,

The side on pics don't do it justice and flatten the design

Found this paint job.

well I wasn't going to say anything and planned on surprising a few people when I turned up on the Scrambler,

BUT....

meet Jester

it arrived yesterday, but not without a few hiccups,

firstly the courier forgot to pick up the paperwork when it changed vans so that was posted out to me for today.

then, I go to tax it and the computer says no, so off to the post office and their computer says no as well

so off home I go and ring the DVLA who say that the bike has no tax record and as far as they can see it's never been taxed

now I have to apply for tax via the post which is going to take up to 10 days.

the previous owner was going to export it to Ireland but bottled it due to the Union Flag on the tank so I think the ownership/tax thing has got a bit screwed

on the plus side the bike is in showroom condition and the paint looks ace in real life but I bought it to ride not to look at so right now I'm somewhat p155ed off :(

That's a bit of a downer after waiting for the bike.

Not sure that the Union Flag would cause too much bother over here. The previous owner must either be the really nervous type or has something to hide.

Anyway, enjoy it when you've got all the paperwork sorted out.

That looks really nice Ian........bit crappy about the tax situation

it is, (on both counts)

was hoping to surprise you and turn up round yours on it later

still, coffee machine is on if you fancy popping round here instead :)

In the vain hope that my tax will come through in time for a long weekend away camping next week I fitted my luggage rack and side bag support tonight.

So we're all dressed up and no place to go :(

The side bag is a temporary until I decide what I want on there as permanent luggage, the one thing I do know is this bike is not getting fitted with a top box.

Ram mount for satnav, 12v socket and scottoiler are next on the list and then we're sorted. (Apart from maybe getting a single seat [emoji3] )

That's very impressive and I think the paint makes it even more special. A set of TKC80's and that really look the part.
Enjoy

Where did you get the side bag supports from? Looks like I'm going to need similar. Hopefully mine will be here and all sorted too!
