I have brand new Anakee 2 110/80 R19 going free to a good home, I can bring to the national if anyone interested. It's been kicking about in the garage for years.

Evening all. Just possible I'll make it before midnight Fri if I can get off work at lunchtime, otherwise I'll be dossing in a hedge and arriving sometime Sat.
Might bring my Fisher Price fishing rod...

Would you believe it Al, my son has decided to fly down to Lundun this weekend. Silly boy is taking part in the marathon
So no trips on the boat I'm afraid.
Pity:(

No worries John. I will be too knackered to go to Ossian 's Cave on Sat, hence idea to potter around the harbour.

Currently planning on keeping the pressure front that the bike creates as it swishes around the road behind the weather front that is due to creep slowly north-west tomorrow morning.

Route

Lecht-Glenshee-Pitlochry-Tyndrum then a little road from Taynuilt to Oban, thence the campsite.

See y'all the morrow

I really wish you all a great time up there, I've been away from biking for some time now due to other commitments. I'll be back full swing into the biking life very shortly, but too late for the National I'm afraid. So once again ya'll ride safely and have ton of fun !

I know the feeling Nick, overly hectic here for too long too, life caught up with me last year and I had to bail and didn't want to miss it again, particularly after that flu thing that was going around.

Hopefully you'll be back on a steed soon [emoji106]

I’m packed and ready to go first thing Friday. Should be at the Campsite mid-afternoon. First long solo run on the bike since last years meet. Route probably via Galloway, ferry, then Argyle forest. But a hopscotch via Arran also looks possible. Whatever I’ll see you all tomorrow

Sorry I will not be there guys, set off this morning and before I got to the Edinburgh city by-pass driving in torrential rain I was sitting in a puddle of cold water which was starting to move down my thighs, so after a few miles I turned off the by-pass and headed home as it was obvious that the jacket and trousers I bought a couple of months ago were not as advertised, well the jacket was fine, but there must be a fault in the trousers. If I had kept going that would have meant I would have had to ride around all weekend with cold, damp trousers which is not for me. I will be going to the bike shop tomorrow to make a complaint as there must be some kind of warranty as the trousers are obviously not fit for purpose. Hope you all have a good time and will no doubt meet up again sometime.

Andy.

that’s a shame Andy. Good luck at the dealers. I think nice simple Scott ergo overtrousers are by a long long way the best overtrousers you can get and better than relying on complex Cordura and lining/laminates. Cheap enough to replace every 2-3 years, although son #2 has some from his NZ postie days that are 6 years old and still fine. Motolegends is the place to get them.

oh, Edinburgh is on the east coast; Oban in the west. ;)
