I'm just browsing & try to plan stuff I'd like to see on the few days down south.

So Thursday, Whealie has a rideout planned.

There is also;
Crofton Beam Engines (I like this stuff ok :) )
Pewdsy white oss's (I wont lose sleep over them)
Samy Miller museum (like to go)
Bovington Tank Museum (like to go)
Portland Bill/ chesil beach (never been/like to go)

What else am I missing, not bothered with paying money to look at old rocks n stuff.

Looks like summats gonna give....

Dorset coast, as you suggest, plus Cheddar Gorge is even closer. New Forest is not great riding territory - lots of long straight roids with low speed limits due to horse and cows on the roads so Sammy's place and Beulieu are destinations only. Barftone's ride takes in some white horses, standing stones and wood and stone henge - it involves some easy trails (no mud etc) doable two-up (ask DC). I'll have local maps we can spread out on Thursday and decide. I'll lead Barftone's ride any day people want.

Planned to arrive Thursday pm and would like to accompany/take part in a light off road ride :ride-bumps: and a road ride :motorcycle17: . No preferences will go with local knowledge / intensive research :idea-013: . Not packed yet - plenty of time. Safe journeys and look forward to meeting up :beer:

I'm thinking:
Thurs, Chris's rideout.
Fri, Bovington
Sat, run around the coast, maybe a wander - weather dependant of course.

Does anyone know if cooked food is available at/near the campsite - pub website says it only does lunch.
Anywhere for a bacon butty & brew for breky or evening meal?
