I'll be over in North Wales at the end of the week - anyone about for the weekend?

Away this weekend but may be able to swing a run out early next week?

Hmm, not sure how long I'm going to be over.

We could meet up in Porthmadog, breakfast at Jenny's (near the steam train station opposite Shell garage) then do a route on some gated UCRs over to Bala, Lake Vyrnwy, back to Bala and onto Ffestiniog all tarmac

From there we could all head separate ways

Sunday would be better for me but will see if Sat only what we can do

Austin you could stay over at mine on the evening before if you want to break up the journey

I'm staying in Bangor. Going over tomorrow and leaving when my sister gets fed up with me (or more to the point - fed up with feeding me :D ) - which will hopefully not be before Sunday. ;)

In fact, Sunday would be fine for me.

Sounds ok to me (and Anne) unless it's at stupid AM o'clock.

Thanks for the offer of a bed Paul. I quite like an early start so will probably pass.

I was thinking 10.am at Porthmadog, breakfast and fuel then rolling for 11. The UCRs route is 95 miles and about 4-5 hrs

For you to get to Porthmadog would you need to leave at 7 am?

Do you want to meet up on the way, makes sense as you'd be passing mine on the quickest route?

Cool

If you're doing M6 to M56 I could wait on the M56 motorway roundabout J11, see you pass and I could drop down and catch up

Sounds like a plan. I will come off the motorway do a lap of the roundabout and rejoin the motorway if I see you there, if not I will stop on the roundabout. Say 8am at Junction 11 - that allows us a bit leeway if we don't quite manage to leave at 7am.

We have booked into a Hostel in Llangollen for Sunday night so won't be coming back with you.

Nice one

I was thinking we could follow the 5104 Corwen / Bala / Trawsffynedd route over to Porthmadog

Avoids the superslab

The junction / roundabout is all traffic lights now every 10-15 mtrs ! (must have got them on a job lot)

I don't mind just dropping down or just joining you as you come off the slip ramp

That's the sort of route I looked at, but I don't know the 5104 way from the east so when you catch me, overtake and lead on.

Roundabout thing..... I was just thinking that if you weren't there when I went through you would never know and could wait for ages. So, plan A (1): if you haven't caught me up by the time I reach the next services I will pull in there and wait near the main entrance. If you get fed up waiting do likewise and I will either be there or will turn up before long while you wait in the warm.
