Perversely, I'm actually in North Wales at the moment. Unfortunately there are other plans for tomorrow. Typical, eh? :(

Typical, exactly!
Ironically I was pondering a tour round Anglesey as it's somewhere I've only been to twice.

How long are you over for, just out of interest?

A couple of pics from today's trip to Wales, trialling the new headcam (albeit heavily cropped)

Hi Paul, the day kicked off with a scoot to the Ponderosa where I arrived around 10am & refreshed myself with a hearty full english & brew in chilly sunshine.
From there I followed TomToms winding roads - destination lake Vyrnwy, taking the b4401/b4396 it was along here where I saw the gravel track heading to the hills beckoning - which turned out to be gated further up.
The run was a bit stop/start as I was checking the camera angle, experimenting with the remote and conventional shutter release & time delay etc on the head cam.

I followed the south side of the lake, peeling off left at the far end on a lovely scenic single track towards Dinas following mrToms lead, the b4581 to Llandiloes and onto Rhyader where it was time for a brew & cake before heading around the Elan reservoirs and back to Rhyader.

Dunno why but there is something fascinating about the vast beautiful structures holding back huge quantities of water

Actually this one is Vyrnwy

Another brew & cake at Crossgares before a wonderful run up the a488 Knighton/Clun/BC, peeling off just before Shrewsbury being led (astray?!) yet again by mrTom on fantastic winding roads by passing both Shrewsbury & Whitchurch. Before eventually heading home on the boring roads stopping for fuel/brew/arse rest about 30 miles from home.
11 hours out on the bike on wonderful roads in wonderful scenery - I think I have my biking mojo back :)

The cam seems to work ok, I just need to try a couple of other ways of use to find the best.
Oh and to take less shots of the road.

Even weirder, Rachel and I did the Elan Valley on Thursday on our roundabout route (that included Llanidloes and Rhayader) from Aberystwyth to Bangor.

Great minds think alike, it seems. ;)

Sorry we couldn't meet up Phil, but we had other things to do and had to be back today (which we are, by the way).

Great pics too. Saves me having to post some up now. :D
