What a glorious day – bright sunshine, drying roads and a thrumming F8GS between my legs.
Seeing as all of the above factors were in place I set course for the lovely bendy roads that lead to Inverness (none of them main roads of course). Popped in my Mr Lowflyer but the pensioner was out . . . at a works meeting
Thence onto more bendy back roads that had me popping out onto the A82 at Drumnadrochit. Being way too early in the tourist season for coaches and johnny foreigner cars/camper vans, this fantastic road was mine for enjoying to the full . . . which I tried very hard to do!
However, Fort Augustus was hoaching with mini buses full of camera totting tourists, so I carried on trundling into the hills and winding roads that run along the south side of the loch.

Never happy to miss a lesser road I headed over towards Tomatin from Farr, stopping for a brew next to Farr Loch
Wending briefly south on the A9 I nipped off onto the “Road Closed” old A9 at Sloched, coming out at Carrbridge. Once passed Grantown I took my favourite small bendy road back towards Moray.
190+ miles at a very low average speed, accompanied by a very sore face . . . from grinning whilst riding my bike over a 6 hour trip.
